Here are some of the military service frames that were completed recently just prior to Anzac Day. The first is a contemporary take on a traditional design with white box frame and borders while the second combines warmer tones with a sepia photograph and an aged original telegram that has been encapsulated in Mylar. None of the items, including the pocket watch, were stuck on with adhesive, making everything in the frame reversible. Both frames feature UV blocking glass. Images were restored and printed on fine art paper. Have a look at conservation framing and military framing for more details on techniques, materials and design.
